Cambridge House, Granby

Postby daLunartik » Mon Jun 20, 2011 1:19 pm

On Saturday, 6/18/2011 I was heading into Hartford CT for a concert. Taking a quick look at the Views and Brews Google Map, I noticed the Cambridge House was more or less on my way. Had no problems finding the place, though the parking lot was a bit crowded. Unfortunately they were "between beers" and only had their standard three on tap, which also meant no Sampler. I settled for their IPA, which was tasty but otherwise unmemorable. With a drive into Harford still ahead of me, I opted to forgo another pint of either the Amber or Stout and hit the road. There was a Fan Club pre-party a half mile from the venue, but I still did a lap around Bushnell Park before hitting the second (non-brewpub) bar.

First CT brewpub down, can only getter better from here (and if not, I'm not gonna bother!)

Well, I remember a few things about CT offhand:

Race Book at Mohegan Sun SUCKS!

Not far away, Willimantic is GREAT! One of the best beer bars/brewpubs in New England, IMHO. An amazing selection of their beer and other NE favorites. :toast:

The SBCs are plentiful, but just average.
