Blue Collar

Had a chance to visit Blue Collar Brewery yesterday. Can't say enough good things about the place. They did a great job of taking a historical, industrial building and retaining a great deal of that history, while making it functional and comfortable. Very much so enjoyed visiting with Randy, (brewer, bartender, owner) and other patrons. As their website states, " a place free of pretention". You could hang out here for hours.

Had a really nice porter, smoky but not to much, not watery or too rich. Liked the IPA as well.

Tom has some very good NE Clam Chowda and bacon wrapper meatloaf. I went for the healthier fish and chips. All was very tasty.

Discussed the Views and Brews concept and got some hike ideas from a fellow patron.

Looking forward to visiting here often.
