 1 Hyde Park Brewing

(Tom and Dawn): This is our 'home' pub, so we feel like it's our 'Cheers' bar.  Everybody knows your name.  Everyone is friendly and the food and beer are great.  They have a separate dining area and bar, and outdoor seating during warmer weather.

2  The Gilded Otter

(Tom and Dawn):  We discovered this other local pub a few years ago.  The beer and food are great here too.  Free food Friday at 4:00 PM!  Indoor outdoor dining, weather permitting.  Pale Ale is very good.

3  Ramapo Valley Brewery

(Tom and Dawn): We went here after a hike, and did not feel out of place.  The atmosphere is very casaul.  Dart board, video games, etc. available.  Several beers were out of stock, but of those we tried, the IPA and the Stout were very good.  We had soups and sandwiches, which were very good.

5  John Harvard's Brew House

6  Brickhouse

7  Southampton Publick House

8  Chelsea Brewing

9  Heartland Brewery

(Tom and Dawn):  We went to the one by the South St. Seaport.  The favorites we had there were Bock wheat ale, Farmer Jon's Oatmeal Stout, and the IPA.

10 Typhoon Brewery

11 The Big House

12 The Albany Pump Station

13 Malt River Brewing

(Tom and Dawn): We've been here several times after hiking.  The IPA is great, and the oatmeal stout is fabulous!  Nice big fireplace to sit around if you're cold after a winter hike.

14 Troy Pub and Brewery -

(Tom and Dawn) Nice views along the Hudson from the Porch.  Troy sure has changed!  We liked the Oatmeal stout, the Pale Ale, and the Scotch Ale, and the Imperial Ale.  Tom liked the Hef.

15 Original Saratoga Springs Pub and Brewery -

(Tom and Dawn) Tom liked everything he tried here, these guys have the Cup for best brewery!

16 Davidson Brothers -

(Tom and Dawn) We both liked the Porter, Stout and IPA the best. They have a nice outdoor dining area when the weather is nice.  We've been here twice now.

17 Adirondack Pub and Brewery - We loved the IPA.

18 Lake Placid Pub and Brewery

(Tom and Dawn): What a great place!  Chris is the friendliest guy in the world!  Frostbite Ale is awesome!  46'er IPA speaks to us too!

19 Great Adirondack

(Tom and Dawn): A nice place right in the heart of Lake Placid.  We had lunch here and a couple of beers.  Nothing stands out though.

20 Bootleggers

(Tom and Dawn): Worth the trip up!

21 Market Street Brewing

22 Ellicottville Brewing

23 Times Square Brewing

(Tom and Dawn): We liked the Porter, the Pilsner, and the Red.  The Pale Ale was a little too light for our taste, but very smooth and drinkable.
